Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi departed for New Delhi to participate in the prestigious Raisina Dialogue, India’s premier annual conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, scheduled for March 5–7.

Mudavadi, who serves as Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, will represent president William Ruto at the high-level global forum that convenes leaders, policymakers, academics, industry experts, and journalists to deliberate on pressing international issues.

During the three-day conference, Mudavadi is expected to outline Kenya’s intensified economic diplomacy agenda under President Ruto’s administration.
He will highlight bilateral trade and investment agreements signed to expand market access and reduce trade barriers across Africa, Asia, and Europe.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary will also present Kenya’s strategy of leveraging trade diplomacy to transition from primarily exporting raw materials to becoming a value-adding trade hub at the center of Africa’s growth trajectory.

Mudavadi will contribute to discussions under the theme Africa Rising: Pathways, Partnerships, and Priorities, underscoring the continent’s strategic importance to global prosperity.

“With about 70 percent of the population being youth, vast mineral wealth, and a rapidly growing base of tech-savvy young people, Africa remains the clearest source of long-term optimism — not just for Africans, but for global prosperity,” he said ahead of his departure.

While in New Delhi, Mudavadi will also seek to deepen Kenya–India relations, anchored in a century-long bond shaped by shared values, mutual interests, and historical ties.

He is scheduled to attend the Kenya–India Joint Commission for Cooperation, where discussions are expected to focus on a results-oriented agenda aimed at delivering tangible economic and diplomatic outcomes for both nations.

The visit underscores Kenya’s broader foreign policy objective of strengthening strategic partnerships and positioning the country as a key player in global geopolitical and economic conversations.
