The Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC) has opened applications for paid internships under the FY 2025/2026 River Regeneration Project.

In a public notice on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the commission said it is looking for 20 energetic and self-motivated Kenyan graduates to support river regeneration activities. The interns will work for five years and receive a stipend according to government guidelines.

The selected interns will assist with daily supervision and monitoring of river regeneration work, document environmental and safety compliance at project sites, track project progress, and participate in inspections.

Candidates must also be proficient in computer applications, have strong communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work in field conditions. Residents within the Nairobi River Corridors will be given preference.
