Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa and his Seychelles counterpart Elvis Chetty withdrew from FIFA Council Member election moments before the vote.
This left Danny Jordan of South Africa, Tanzania’s Leodegar Tenga and Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandu to challenge for the seat reserved for anglophone group.

The election was part of Caf’s agenda for Sunday’s Extraordinary General Assembly at the organization’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
