
The Nigerian film industry popularly known as Nollywood is slowly creeping in to the global market. A romantic comedy about the huge chaotic Nigerian wedding is breaking box office records in Nigerian and abroad.
The wedding party:destination Dubai has made about 73.3 million Naira (202,000 dollars) ever since it was first released on December 15.
Nigerians seem to be supporting their content as the film did better than international movies that were released in cinemas in the country on that day.

The amounts of money made by the Nigerian film may appear meager bur they are making significant strides in the global market.
The Kenyan film industry has also recently been revived. For years the film industry in Kenya was almost non existent as Kenya was seen as a destination for making movies.
The amount of money made in Kenya by films in Kenya is still insignificant with the famous Nairobi Half Life still at the helm of Kenya’s finest films produced.
