Police have arrested a man posing as a police officer during a covert operation in Umoja, Nairobi.
The operation was conducted by the Njiru Sierra One and Kayole 5 undercover teams following credible intelligence. It targeted areas around Nyama Villa, CMM Soweto, and Umoja Three-Kwa Maji.
During the raid, officers arrested 30-year-old Daniel Mori Mohere, a Kuria male, who is suspected of impersonating a police officer.
He was arrested alongside two accomplices — 59-year-old Julius Marwa Chacha, also of Kuria origin, and 27-year-old Caroline Mweni Nzomo, a Kamba woman.
Police recovered various items believed to be government property, including police uniforms and other official gear.
The items have been documented and kept as exhibits in the case.
The three suspects are currently in custody and will be charged in court once investigations are completed.
