    Police shoot and kill suspected thief in Savannah, Nairobi

    A suspected thug was on Sunday July 6 shot and killed in a failed robbery in the Savannah area, Nairobi.

    Police said the suspect was in the company of others and had been attacking and robbing locals when an alarm was raised. A team from Buruburu police station that was on patrol responded to the scene and confronted the group while in action leading to the fatal shooting.

    Police said the accomplices managed to escape in the drama. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.

    Elsewhere in Makongeni, Nairobi, one Anthony Oluoch, 42 was found dead in his house. Police said the lifeless body of the man was found on the bed long after he had died.

    The body with no visible injuries was moved to Chiromo Funeral Home, awaiting autopsy.

    In Utalii area, Nairobi, one Alex Mwaura Kamau, 26 was found dead in a ditch. Police said the body had no visible injuries at the time of the discovery but his right hand was bandaged.

    The body was moved to the City morgue for preservation, awaiting autopsy.

    In Nandi Hills, the body of Wilson Kipchumba, 48 was found on the roadside after a suspected sudden death. Police said the body was moved to the Nandi Hills sub-county hospital mortuary, awaiting autopsy.

    In Kitengela, a child aged two months died at a children’s home. The child had been rescued from the Machakos Law court after he was abandoned on May 17, 2025.

    Police said they are investigating the death.

    In Molo, Nakuru County, one Geoffrey Mwaniki Njenga, 44 was found lying lifeless on the floor in his rental house, with no visible injuries.

    The body was moved to Molo Sub-County hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.

    In Ragumo, Kisumu County, a body was found on the roadside after suspected murder. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
