Kisii County Senator Richard Momoima Onyonka Wednesday announced the sudden death of his mother Teresia Nyaboke Omoke.
The Matriarch passed om the age of 81 while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
In a heartfelt message,Senator Onyonka described his late mother as a strong, loving, and dedicated matriarch whose life deeply shaped his values and public service journey.
He joined family members, relatives, and leaders from across the country in mourning the loss, noting that her passing is a great blow not only to the family but also to those who knew her closely.
Mama Teresia had been undergoing medical care before her death on Wednesday at the Aghakan Nairobi .
Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi poured his tribute saying
Mama Teresia will be remembered not only as a cherished neighbour, but also as a firm disciplinarian who held a deep appreciation for education.
She served with dedication as a leader in the Catholic Women’s Guild and was an active and valued member of the Nyabururu community and the Kisii Diocese.
“Her legacy of service, faith, and commitment to community will endure. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Senator Onyonka and the entire family, and we pray that God grants them comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time.” Kibagendi stated in a text.
