Mother of late Tanzania’s movie star Steven Kanumba has revealed that she will rebury her son now that the court has officially closed the case.
Dar es salaam law court closed the case after finding Lulu Michael guilty and sentencing her to two years jail term.
Flora Mtegoa, the mother of the late Kanumba says she is finally satisfied with the courts’ ruling and feels that justice has prevailed over her son’s murder.
Now that the case is officially closed,the mother said that she will have peace and will take the time to go to her sons grave to pay her last respect.
“Kwa sasa sina la kusema ila naishukuru sana Mahakama kwa kutenda haki, pia niishukuru sana Serikali yangu lakini pia nikitoka hapa nitakwenda makaburini kwa ajili ya kumzika upya mwanangu Kanumba,” said Flora Mtegoa.
Lulu Michael on the other hand is said to have accepted her jail term as she told her family members and lawyer not to appeal her sentence.The lovely actress seems to have accepted her fate and said that she can not interfere with Gods plan.

Her lawyer Mr Peter Kibatala who had hinted an appeal confirmed that client had requested them not to appeal as she was ready to serve her term as ordered by the court.
“Sipingani na maamuzi ya Mungu, haya ni maamuzi yake na nimekubaliana nayo. Ana makusudi yake kunipa hiki kilichotokea leo. Acheni miaka miwili siyo mingi, sitaki kupingana na mahakama , naheshimu maamuzi ya mahakama, acheni nitumikie kifungo changu,” Lulu said
Lulu is currently at women’s prison in Dar es Salaam. The Assistant Superintendent of Prisons, Inspector Lucas Mboje confirmed that she was brought there as a normal prisoner and she was treated like other prisoners.
