Thief Steals Fuel from Police Car then Celebrates on Facebook

Criminals are known to be dumb sometimes. We have the moderately foolish ones like the Anonymous hacker who posted his girlfriend’s cleavage on his website and the worst case scenario which we have today.

Michael Baker, 20, from Letcher County in Kentucky state of USA is what we would call damn foolish (you remember the comedian who appeared on Diddy’s Bad Boy show? Yeah!). The guy siphoned fuel from a police patrol car. That was not stupid. The stupid part is that him and his squeeze decided to mock the police, show them the middle finger and say they think they commited no crime.

The platform the used to display their foolishness, Facebook! This is why Kenyans call Facebook Mukuru Kwa Zuckerberg (MKZ). Not enough smart people left there now. I bet when Ruto said that kuna upungufu wa wajinga Kenya (there is a shortage of smart people around), he meant that they all decided to migrate to MKZ.

Speaking to WKYT, Joann Sandelin, Baker’s girlfriend said:

“Yeah, we’re sorry, but it was just a joke. I mean if we was going to steal gas, we wouldn’t put it nationwide on Facebook. We don’t steal anyway, but we’re sorry.”

    And baker himself said:

“I got a little bit of gas. I ain’t gonna lie but not much. I couldn’t get much. I tried but there wasn’t much in it.”

Jenkins Police Chief, Allen Bormes, said:

“If they’re going to do it to a police car, they’re going to do it to just about anybody,”

Baker spent a night in police detention for his offence where he was charged with theft by unlawful taking. The police said they are looking for ways of minimising such incidences.

I am just not so enthusiastic about Facebook anymore.
