Police on Sunday gunned down three gang members in Kokotoni, Kilifi.

The trio had earlier on in the day robbed a trader of Sh70,000 before fleeing on a motorcycle. They were headed towards Mazeras when the police shot them.

According to police sources, the gang leader only identified as Kinyua had been on the police radar for a longtime.

Police recovered several rounds on ammunition, two AK47 rifles, motorcycle and cash.
