Tory Lanez Seeks Court Protection Inside Prison Over Alleged Threats From Correctional Officer

Tory Lanez is asking a federal judge to step in and issue a restraining order against a prison guard he claims is endangering his safety behind bars.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the rapper—currently serving time at California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo—alleges he is facing ongoing threats, intimidation, and harassment while in custody, leaving him fearful for his life.

Lanez’s legal team claims a correctional officer has suggested he could be transferred to a more “dangerous housing unit,” and further alleges that prison staff referenced a previous violent attack on the rapper in a threatening manner.

The filing comes months after Lanez survived a near-fatal stabbing in prison, an incident in which he was reportedly stabbed 14 times and suffered two collapsed lungs. The attack prompted widespread concern over his safety within the correctional system.

Lanez previously filed a $100 million lawsuit over the stabbing incident, accusing the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, prison officials, and the warden of negligence. In that suit, he alleged he was placed in proximity to an inmate with a known violent history, despite warnings and risk factors.

His new court request argues that the alleged threats from prison staff raise further concerns about retaliation, particularly in light of his ongoing legal action.

Lanez is now asking the court to bar the identified correctional officer from any direct contact with him outside of routine prison duties and to prevent any retaliatory action linked to his complaints or lawsuits.

The 31-year-old artist is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after being convicted in December 2022 on charges related to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

He was found guilty of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm, and possession of an unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Lanez will not be eligible for parole until at least November 2029.
