The deceased was identified as Judith Adhiambo. The known assailant escaped the scene of the murder on May 7 at dawn.

The two had been in a house when neighbours heard quarrels and screams before Adhiambo rushed out with the stab wound in the chest.

The woman told the neighbours as she was being taken to hospital that the boyfriend accused her of promiscuity.
