Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has found himself in uncomfortable situations where President Kenyatta has walked out on him giving speeches at events.

Last week, immediately Mr Nyoro stood up to address mourners at the funeral of Thayu Kamau, the President excused himself and walked out of the tent only to get back after the legislator finished his remarks.

It is noted that this is not the first time the Head of State walked out on the MP, as he also did so last year.

During the funeral ceremony of Kenneth Matiba, the president also left the tent when Nyoro was speaking only to be back after he had left the podium.

On whether the two incidents were a coincidence or pre-planned, remains unclear, however Uhuru went ahead to dismiss the MP’s request for Ksh5 million for development in his constituency.

Speaking during the funeral of his long-time friend last week, the President stated: “I hear some people asking for money. Account for the monies that have been allocated in your National Government Constituency Development Funds which are worth Sh100 million instead of loitering the country with endless meetings and unending speeches.”

It is further alleged that the President had been irked by the legislator’s move to constantly push for 2022 political agenda.

Mr Nyoro is perceived to be DP Ruto’s man in Murang’a County and Mt Kenya region.
