A 26-year-old female university student was found dead in her house in Embu Town.
Police said Damaris Kanyua was a student at the local University of Embu.
Her body was Tuesday morning discovered in her rented house long after she had died. The cause of her death is yet to be known, police said.
The body was found lying on a mattress that was on the floor. She stayed alone in the house.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
In Kangemi, Nairobi, the body of a 54-year-old woman was found in her bed on Tuesday morning.
Police said relatives of Teresia Muhaki found the body in the room when they went to wake her up.
She had failed to wake up prompting the relatives to go check on her when they found the body lying there.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending investigations, which will include autopsy.
And in Suneka, Kisii, a worker was found dead in a farm he was working on.
The incident happened in Iterio village in Bonyaoro sub-location and involved one Miruka Asiago.
He had been hired to work on the farm and had embarked on his work when his body was discovered.
Police officers visited the scene where they found the body lying dead facing upward with no visible injuries.
The body was moved to Nyangena Private Hospital Kisii Mortuary pending autopsy.
Elsewhere in Manyatta, Embu County, a 35-year-old man was found dead after he had swallowed poison.
Police said they were informed of the incident that involved one Amos Kinyua Njiru.
The motive of the incident is yet to be established, police said.
