Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr. Raymond Omollo, led an inspection visit to assess the progress of key national government development projects in Kuria East Sub-county, Migori County.

The visit included an evaluation of the Kegonga Cluster Water and Sanitation Project at Nyamache, which is set to provide clean and reliable water to local communities.

Infrastructure development was a key focus, with significant progress noted on the Taranganya-Senta-Ntimaru-Nyamtiro OSBP-Kegonga-Kugitimo-Loliondo B1 Road, a major transport link that will enhance connectivity and trade.
Additionally, the JNC Stage construction and tarmacking at Kebarishia will improve mobility and ease access for residents.

A major milestone of the visit was the commissioning and handover of the completed Kebaroti Water Supply Project at Kebaroti Secondary School, implemented in partnership with the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA).

Dr. Omollo was joined by Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, Migori Senator Hon. Eddy Oketch, MPs Peter Masara (Suna West) and Hon. Kitayama Maisori (Kuria East), LBDA Managing Director Wycliffe Ochiaga, and other regional leaders.

These projects reaffirm the national government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, improving water access, and driving development in Kuria.
The area has recently been receiving development in general.
