    Visit to latrine turns tragic for Kisii Polytechnic student

    A college student answering a call of nature fell and died inside a pit latrine at Gekomu area in Kisii Friday night. 

    Authorities said the body of Celine Nyangweso, 24, a Kisii National Polytechnic student has since been retrieved by Kisii County disaster officials.

    It was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.

    Nyangweso met her death at around 10 at night when she visited a pit latrine which collapsed while still was inside.

    Police said they are investigating the tragedy.
