Incumbent Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and ODM senatorial candidate Edwin Sifuna have rejected the preliminary results provided by the IEBC.

The Jubilee candidates, Mike Sonko and Johnson Sakaja appear to have won the polls according to the IEBC preliminary reports.

The tally showed that Sonko was leading with 811,995 votes against  Kidero’s 653185 votes.

Kidero said that he has rejected the results unless there is a physical recount with duly signed forms.

He went on to say that the results did not reflect the will of the people.

Sifuna also rejected the results where he appears to have lost to Jubilee’s Johnson Sakaja.

However Esther Passaris who was contesting for woman representative position on an ODM ticket accepted her win against Rachel Shebesh. Preliminary results place Passaris ahead of Shebesh.
