Some protesters are said to have died of suffocation from inhaling teargas, and pepper spray. Others died from being trampled during the demonstrations, two people are reported to have died from shock and trauma.

“Victims and witnesses told researchers that as protesters ran away, police pursued them, kicking down doors and chasing people down alleyways, shooting and beating many to death.”

Others died of being hit with teargas canisters  while others scampered for safety.
