    Relief For Parents As Government Set To Roll Out Free Secondary Education

    kcseEducation CS Fred Matiang’i has said that parents are set to get relief as the lowered school fee structure will be released in December.

    This is after the President Uhuru Kenyatta had pledged free secondary school education will be free.All the students attending day school are set to receive Ksh. 22844 in the next term that begins in January.

    This directive will ensure that no student in Kenya will pay tuition fees.The education cabinet secretary said that the ministry will also be hiring an extra 10000 teachers in order to ensure the smooth transition of the system.

    theEducation CS was saying this while justifying the budget for the said project.He said that he would need a bout Sh.46.3 Billion shillings in order to fully implement the free secondary school project.
