Alyssa Elaine Diaz was born on September 7, 1985, in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
Of Colombian, Mexican, and Irish descent, Diaz grew up in a multicultural environment that influenced her unique perspective and approach to acting.

Her early work included guest appearances on shows like American Family and CSI: Miami, as well as roles in short films.
Her breakout role came in 2005 when she portrayed Celia Ortega on the CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns, appearing in over 56 episodes.
Diaz’s career gained further momentum with her starring role as Jasmine in the ABC Family series The Nine Lives of Chloe King in 2011.
