    Man killed, body dumped on farm in Meru

    Police are investigating an incident where the body of a man was found dumped at a farm after his murder in Kunene, Tigania, Meru County.

    Police said the deceased Peter Giterere, 55 was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene before the body was found on Sunday afternoon.

    The body had a visible swollen face, chest and hands.

    The motive of the murder was not immediately established.

    The body was picked up and taken to a local mortuary pending an autopsy and further probe.

    Detectives visited the scene and declared it was a secondary one. The team is pursuing leads on the possible area the man was killed.

    In Mosoriot area, Nandi County, a man identified as Nathan Ngesirei, 60 was found dead and naked on the roadside after his murder.

    The motive of the October 12, 2025 murder was not immediately established, police said.

    Police said the body had visible injuries on the head and a blood-stained piece of wood was found next to it.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

    In Daraja Mbili, Maseno, Kisumu County, one Hillary Odhiambo, 25 was found dead in his home after being stabbed.

    The body had two stab wounds in the back and chest, police said.

    Police said the deceased had quarreled with his cousin over a missing mobile phone charger which went physical.

    The assailant stabbed him in the altercation.

    Police said they found blood stains leading to the assailant’s house which was about 100 meters away. Also recovered was a blood stained shirt and a slasher that was used in the mission.

    The suspect was later arrested with injuries in the left palm as he sought medical attention at a local hospital, police said.

    He will face murder charges. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
