    Man clobbered to death in confrontation in Pangani, Nairobi

    A 25-year-old man was clobbered to death in a confrontation at Burhan estate, Pangani, Nairobi County.

    The deceased was attacked by two men who were armed with metal rods, police and witnesses said.

    The motive of the fatal attack was not immediately known. Police on patrol witnessed the incident and rescued the victim to a hospital in the area where he succumbed to the injuries. One of the assailants was later arrested while his accomplice managed to escape.

    Police said the killer weapon, which was a metal rod, was recovered from the scene. The suspect was detained pending arraignment while the body was moved to the mortuary for autopsy and other procedures.

    In Sachangwan area, Molo, Nakuru County, the body of a man was found in a forest after a suspected murder. The body was discovered on January 2 long after his murder.

    Police said the body had an injury on the head and face and bruises on both hands. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    In Wagai area, Siaya County, one Isaack Odhiambo, 24 died after being attacked by unknown assailants. The man came home with an injury in the head and turned violent against his wife who escaped to a neighbour’s house for refuge overnight.

    She went back home the following day on January 2 and found the husband lying motionless on bed.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations into the incident.

    Police said they are investigating murder in the incident.

    In Ndiere, Siaya County, one Amos Oduor Oloo, 50 was found dead after being stabbed in a quarrel over a piece of land.

    Police said he was stabbed by his cousin in the dispute. His body was found lying on the ground in a pool of blood about 50 meters from his house in the January 2 incident.

    He had stab wounds in the chest. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    Police said the assailant escaped the scene and efforts to trace him were ongoing.
