Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia will not block Ugandan defender Godfrey Walusimbi from moving to Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa.

Gor were upset that Walusimbi left for South Africa without their consent but they will nonetheless consider a deal after the Soweto heavyweights formally written to them.

The decision was taken Tuesday during the club’s executive committee meeting in Nairobi which also gave two conditions before the deal can be finalized.

K’Ogalo wants the glamour boys to pay Ksh.7, 000,000 part of his contract’s buyout clause and also part with unspecified fine for illegally initiating the move.

“Walusimbi has served the club well and it is not our wish to block his path to greener pastures.

If Chiefs can settle the buyout clause then it will be a record deal for the club and we are okay with it,” a member of the EC told Kahawa Tungu.

Gor have formally communicated the same to the Johannesburg-based club.

Walusimbi, who joined K’Ogalo in 2014 and renewed his stay in January this year, still has over one year left on his contract.
