The Social Health Authority (SHA) has disbursed the second batch of payments for verified pending claims valued at Sh10 million and below arising from the defunct National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).

SHA Chief Executive Officer Mercy Mwangangi said the payments followed the completion of the claims verification and sign-off exercise.

In a statement, Mwangangi said the latest payments were processed on August 12, 2026, as the Authority continues to settle verified claims owed to healthcare providers.

“The Social Health Authority (SHA) informs healthcare providers that the second batch of payment for verified pending claims of Sh10 million and below arising from the defunct National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) have been disbursed,” Mwangangi said.

The Authority said the list of healthcare facilities that have received the payments is available on the SHA website.

SHA added that regular updates will be issued as the payment process progresses.

Payments for verified pending NHIF claims valued at Sh10 million and below have been divided into four separate processing batches.
