Tension is high in Litein, Kericho County after a family of an area businessman was attacked in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The man and his three daughters plus their maid were rushed to Litein Mission Hospital with severe injuries.
His wife did not survive the ordeal.
The daughters and maid were sexually assaulted by the thugs whose motives remain unknown.

Neighbours are said to have called for help but momentarily disallowed the police from moving the deceased’s remains decrying the rising levels of insecurity in the area.
It is in this same area that a teacher and his wife were brutally murdered.
Confirming the incident was Bureti OCPD Ali Abdulahi who noted that officers are already looking into the matter.
