An accident has occurred on Waiyaki way in Nairobi after a bus ferrying passengers from Siaya. The bus overturned leaving 30 passengers injured.
According to onlookers the bus was forced to take emergency breaks after a mini bus from Latema Sacco picking passengers at the Waruku stage abruptly joined the road
The NTSA area said that the Latema Sacco bus as it was picking passengers at a place not designated as a bus stop
“The driver of that Latema bus KBX was just carrying passenger in the road as this stretch is somehow sloppy and narrow. When the driver of the climax bus tried to signal for him to pave way, he immediately joined the road and sped off,” an officer at the scene said.

Accidents have not reduced even with the night travel banned imposed by the NTSA. Earlier in the week a bus belonging to the Citi shuttle bus company overturned at the CBD after trying to avoid hitting a saloon car after jumping traffic lights
