Homabay MCAs have established a fund that will compensate  the victims of police brutality during protests in the electioneering period. The money will be contributed by the MCAs and the CECs of the county Each Victim will receive Ksh.150,000. The MCAs said that they will device measures to identify the real casualties. Police have dismissed the report made by non governmental organisation IMLU which stated that 36 people were killed by the police during the period between August and October. o in cases of brutality. The report said that there was no clear indication to show that police were killing in their defense or others In a statement released by George Kinoti the spokesman said that they were not consulted prior to the release of what they termed as a misleading report. Two Kenya Airways staff have been arrested for being in possession of narcotics. the two were arrested fifteen minutes after taking off Cotonou, Benin. Two weeks earlier multi agency police arrested two Kenya airways staff who had been suspected to be transporting four kilograms of narcotics disguised as Kenyan coffee.
