    Roselyn Akombe Resumes UN Job After Resigning From IEBC

    Former IEBC Roselyn Akombe has gone back to her old job at the UN after being offered a new contract.The former commissioner who was previously a political advisor for the UN before taking the job as a commissioner for IEBC took a 70 percent pay cut in order to take up the job at the commission.

    Her new contract with the UN however forbids her from engaging the media with regards the Kenyan election and the process.

    Roselyn Akombe resigned from the commission few days before October 26  elections saying that it was impossible to conduct free and fair elections under the circumstances that were there.She said that the commission was divided along partisan lines.

    The former IEBC commissioner fled the country saying that she had received threats and that she always stood for the truth.
