Former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero has decided to contest the election of Governor Mike Sonko even after conceding defeat.Through his lawyer Tom Ojienda the former governor stated that the form 37A that were used to declare the winner had irregularities. Ambassadors representing various countries in Kenya have said changing the electoral laws so close to an election is wrong and against best global practice. The ministry of Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed has suspended ties with international NGO which funds the judiciary,through a letter, the Cabinet Secretary said that the government had suspended the agreement between them and the International development law organization (IDLO).
