    University Of Nairobi Closed Indefinitely Over Protests

    policeThe University of Nairobi has been closed indefinitely.Earlier this morning the students from Kabete campus had blocked the road after waking up at 3 A.M lighting bonfires within the campus.

    The students were protesting the against the assault on students  by the police last week.The Police Inspector General said that the police were allowed  into the school premises by the school administration.

    They were given up to 9 A.M to vacate the school premises.

    1. The University of Nairobi @uonbi Senate has closed the University with immediate effect due to the deteriorating security situation .

    2. Students have been asked to vacate halls of residence with immediate effect but not later than 9.00am
