The Deputy Registrar of the Supreme court Daniel Ole Keiwua has rejected a petition challenging the presidential results of Uhuru Kenyatta saying that the issues raised were not clearly highlighted and were not in direct relation to the presidential results The petition is said to have been filed by, Juma Kenyatta-Awori Marie who raised issues on the bill of rights which did nor directly touch on the presidential results. The National Super Alliance (NASA) has issued a list of 27 counties which they said were marred by rigging and other election malpractices. They state that in areas perceived as Jubilee strongholds in Rift valley and Central, their agents were chased away and other people paid to sign the forms 34A on their behalf. NASA submitted that in some areas like Likoni and Nairobi the signing of the forms 34A was not done. Two IEBC officials have been arrested in Embakasi while breaking into a store where ballot boxes had been stashed. They are said to have broken the seals of 16 ballot boxes containing presidential results and were trying to alter the results. The duo told the security officers that they had been sent by IEBC officials to collect some information for the Presidential petition that had just been filed in court by NASA. Nakumatt Holdings, Human Resource Officer Francis Kamotho has issued a Memo suspending over 30 workers over what he termed as ‘participation in an illegal industrial action.’ The workers were asked to show cause as to why disciplinary action should not be taken against them for participating in an illegal strike. The Nairobi county Public health has moved to court to seek orders to close down Panari Hotel over an alleged cholera outbreak where at least 20 NIC bank employees were on 22 July admitted with cholera symptoms. After investigations the ministry of health found that one of the hotel workers had cholera. The hotel has received notice to close down from both the ministry of health and the county government but has declined.
