The Nairobi county Public health has moved to court to seek orders to close down Panari Hotel over an alleged cholera outbreak where at least 20 NIC bank employees were on 22 July admitted with cholera symptoms.
After investigations the ministry of health found that one of the hotel workers had cholera.
The hotel has received notice to close down from both the ministry of health and the county government but has declined.

On July 28 the county had asked the hotel to furnish the county with the re examination and valid medical certificates for its workers. The county also asked for food licenses of 2017.
The case was adjourned to 28th of August.
The MoH in July ordered for the closure of Jacaranda and San Valencia hotels over the same allegations.
