The communication Authority (CA) has fined the three mobile operators; Telkom, Safaricom and Airtel a sum of Sh311 million for failing to meet the set quality of standards for financial year 2015/2016. According to the CA none of the mobile operators met the 80% minimum threshold set for compliance.  A mobile operator is rated compliant when it attains this mark in the evaluation of key performance indicators.
