Six Members of the Makueni county assembly have been arrested after they stormed St Josephs Girls, Kibwezi attempting to block the new principal who had been posted from taking over.
Police were forced to use teargas on the MCAs who had come on the premise of wanting to seethe Ministry of education officials who were at the school.

The students also followed in the footsteps of the county leaders by staging a walk out protest over the appointment of the new principal. The police did not spare the students as they too suffered the effects of the teargas.
The MCAs were detained at the Kibwezi police station.
The issue started last week when the school’s board of directors locked the principal’s office.
