Zimbabwe and Libya have pulled out of the Cecafa senior challenge Tournament that commences on December 3 in Machakos. The court has issued a warrant of arrest against NIC Bank operations manager. Paul Githinji suspected to have disappeared with Sh.16,964,710.20 million from the bank’s vault on August 23. He has since switched off his mobile phone and cannot be traced. Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU) has rejected the results following interviews for Moi University Vice Chancellor appointments. They have averred that professor Laban Ayiro was the best candidate to head the university. Godfrey Osotsi Amani National Congress (ANC) chairman Kevin Lunani has accused former party secretary general and Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi of being used by Jubilee to destabilize the party. The University of Nairobi (UON) has De-registered Meru Senator Mithika Linturi’s degree over fake academic papers. The university says that the certificates the Senator used to to join the university were allegedly fake. In June of this year the High court had barred the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) from probing the academic qualification of the Meru senator. The Force’s Spokesperson Charles Owino instead defended the uniform claiming Kenyans were developing a culture of impunity where they (police) are being judged even where their actions are justifiable.
