Raila Odinga has said that the journey to Canaan is still real. Speaking at a funeral for one of the NASA supporters who died during the home coming procession, he said that Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidency was illegitimate and could not be made legitimate by using arms.

‘The journey is unstoppable, they can come with the police and all the might of the state at their disposal but it will not prevent Kenyans from reaching Canaan’ Mr Odinga said.

Raila Odinga blamed the government and the police for using excessive force but said that would not stop the from pursuing what they though was right.

The NASA leader said that they would escalate  the economic boycott as part of a strategy to ensure that they bring down the regime. Raila Odinga said that Uhuru Kenyatta will not complete the entire five year term.

The NASA leader had declared that he would be sworn in on December  12. Plans on how this would actually be sworn in and where are still scanty but speculations are that it would happen in Kisumu.
