A Nation journalist based in Siaya has recorded a statement with the police with claims that his life maybe in danger. Netizens are angry after IT experts discovered that the Kenya Power billing system is flawed. The syndicate has apparently cost the common Kenyan tens of millions of shillings. The billing system, Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said affects both the post and pre-paid customers. Veteran politician Charles Wanyoike Rubia, 96 has passed away at his Karen home. Confirming the news was his lawyer and Murang’a county senator Irungu Kang’ata. The deceased was a minister in the Kenyatta and Moi eras. He was detained and tortured for pushing for multiparty politics. In 1987 for example, Rubia was arrested for allegedly funding the Mwakenya Movement that worked closely with church leaders to import guns meant to overthrow the government. Kenya Railways on Sunday suspended the Nairobi commuter rail services to Ruiru, Embakasi, Kikuyu and Syokimau until January 6, 2020.
