Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has received a warning message from Kirinyaga governor Anne Mumbi’s husband, Kamotho Waiganjo. National Carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) has named an acting chief executive following Sebastian Mikosz’s exit before expiry of contract. In a statement, the KQ board appointed Jambojet’s CEO Allan Kilavuka as the struggling airline’s chief executive in an acting capacity. Mr Kilavuka’s appointment takes effect starting January 1, 2020. He will serve in the role until a substantive CEO for the carrier has been recruited and appointed. A woman and her daughter were on Sunday discovered dead in their home, Thika. According to Thika Sub-county police commander Beatrice Kiraguri, the bodies of the deceased persons aged 30 and 11 years, were found at their Landless home after neighbours reported them missing. There was a foul smell coming from the house, Ms Kiraguri said. The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has on Saturday reduced the per-litre prices of petrol and diesel by Ksh1.09 and Ksh2.83 respectively. In its latest review, the price of kerosene reduced by Ksh1.75. In Nairobi, super petrol, diesel and kerosene will sell at Ksh109.50, Ksh101.78 and Ksh102.31 respectively. The new prices, EPRA says, are as a result of a dip in the average imported cost of Super Petrol, which decreased by 0.52 per cent per cubic metre in November compared to October.
