Former Citizen TV Swahili anchor Kanze Dena was on Friday confirmed to the position of State House Spokesperson and Head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Citizen TV journalist, Jacque Maribe has been declared fit to stand trial after undergoing a mental assessment test on Thursday. According to Jacque’s lawyer, Katwa Kigen, Maribe and her fiancé Joe “Jowie”  Irungu are set to take plea on Monday as earlier scheduled. A Senior PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Consultant attached to the Forensics Department moments ago threw himself from the company’s 17th floor offices on Delta Towers, Westlands. The employee, identified as Stephen Mumbo is said to have been rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The mother to the late Migori Senator, Ben Oluoch has passed away. His mother, Teodora Ayieko passed away after being admitted shortly on Thursday evening. Teodora died at the age of over 90 years after having been ill for some time. She had been admitted at St Joseph Omboo Hospital in Migori yesterday. The 72 year old driver, Lucas Asang’asa, who caused the accident that killed, now 58 people, in the Fort Ternan accident succumbed to his injuries. Lucas was behind the wheel on the fateful Tuesday- Wednesday drive to Kakamega. Laikipia County Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru is unhappy with the Governor’s Wife Maria Mbeneka for interfering with her work. South Sudanese citizens living in Kenya together with friends of South Sudan from Kenya, led a peaceful protest in Nairobi CBD to forward a petition to Parliament and to the Ministry of Foreign affairs.
