Kenyan soldiers in Somalia are not happy that the AU mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has reduced their allowances from a previous Ksh 1034,856 to Ksh 83,394. A group of well connected government officials and private individuals are believed to behind the theft of government funds through the eCitizen portal. The portal which was built by Webmasters Kenya Limited at a cost of Ksh 70million through a world bank funded program, is now the subject of internal investigations at the Ministry of Finance. WhatsApp has unveiled new features which are meant to encourage subscribers to send even bigger files. The chat service now allows users to send any type of file up to 100MB. It was previously limited to sharing only documents of PDF type. According to sources at Nairobi hospital, two Cabinet Secretaries are among those who have now been hospitalised in Nairobi after exhibiting cholera symptoms.
