Ushahidi Finally Suspends Daudi Were over the Sexual Harassment Allegations

Crisis mapping tech firm, Ushahidi, has reportedly sent home the disgraced Director, Daudi Were, over the accusations of sexual harassment.

According to Business Daily, Ushahidi issued as statement confirming the suspension of Daudi Were until the matter is investigated and resolved. Ushahidi reportedly issued the statement through Africa Practice PR firm.

It’s not clear what measured Ushahidi has put in place to ensure that this doesn’t re-occur or that the evidence and victims are protected but we know that Ushahidi will not do much as they arrogantly dismissed all who demanded that they take action on the director.

Daudi Were has been discussed in many forums since 2006 as a man who likes to prey on women and all in Ushahidi and iHub board knew this but they didn’t care to resolve it because they seems not to care anyway.

Apparently Daudi Were’s lawyer, Fred Ojiambo, reportedly told those who questioned the actions of his client that since the lady shouted “F*&K YOU!!” she might have been interested in having sex with Daudi Were.

Ushahidi’s issue must not be clearly resolved by the board as the same board has connections to BRCK where they are currently fundraising so they are not intesrested in sticking their necks out there.
