    Joho Leads in Mombasa County, Buzeki will Trounce Mandago in Uasin Gishu

    The Infotrak poll indicates that Governor Hassan Joho will easily his seat in Mombasa county. The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party leader is ahead with 63 per cent.

    Joho’s closest rival who is also Jubilee’s candidate, Suleiman Shahbal, could only afford 15.3% of the votes if the elections were held today. Senator Hassan Omar of Wiper Democratic Movement and Nyali MP Bollo Awiti are third and fourth at 4.8 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively.

    In Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago will not manage in a contest with the new-comer businessman Bundotich Kiprop aka ‘Buzeki. The poll established that 54.2 per cent of the county’s residents supports Buzeki who is running on an independent ticket.

    Mandago who is the Jubilee Party ticket holder has 42.1 per cent popularity rating in the county. The survey involved 900 respondents in Uasin Gishu County, 1000 in Mombasa and 1800 in Kakamenga.
