A 25-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a targeted attack in the Kariobangi area, Nairobi. Police said Samson Wesonga was walking from his place of work on Saturday January 31, 2025 when he was accosted by two men riding on a motorcycle and stabbed in the shoulder. A herder was shot and killed in a banditry attack in Akadeli area, Isiolo Township. This happened during a failed robbery of 200 shoats. The shoats were recovered by police who responded to the scene which happened on Saturday January 31, 2026 evening. Police and locals said gunmen raided the village and killed the teenage herder before attempting to drive off the targeted shoats. An unknown number of pupils were injured on Saturday morning after a school van belonging to Mahehe Friends Academy was involved in a road accident along Charity Road in Endarasha, Kieni West, Nyeri County. Three people, including two children, were burnt to death in a tragic incident in Bulagu village in Budalang’i, Busia County.
