Police are investigating an incident where a teacher was found dead after a drowning incident in West Kanyamkogo, Uriri, Migori County. The victim was a teacher at Chief Kawasa Primary School and was identified as Douglas Okita, police said. He is said to have drowned at river Onyani in Kajulu area. Two suspected traffickers were Saturday night arrested with elephant tusks in Nyahururu Town. Police said the arrests were made at Kwa Wanjiku area and the suspects had five pieces of elephant tusks weighing about 18 kilos and valued at Sh3.8 million. Detectives are investigating an incident where a 39-year-old man collapsed and died after leaving a gym in Eastleigh, Nairobi. According to the police, Ali Abdile Mohamed had left a gym at the BBS Mall in the morning when he collapsed. He collapsed outside the mall where he planned to board a motor vehicle for his home. A couple was killed in a road accident along the Ndumberi-Tinganga Road, Kiambu County. Their one and half-year-old son was injured and admitted in hospital, police said of the November 15, 2025 incident. This was after their motorcycle was involved in a road crash. Detectives are investigating an incident where a 73-year-old man was found dead after being attacked by a mob in a clash over control of businesses at Gul Min Augo beach in Bondo, Siaya County. Dennis Ambrose Achieng succumbed to his injuries following the November 15 incident, police said. He had hired six bounces to help him in his mission but the group was ambushed and attacked. At least four people died after two boats carrying nearly 100 migrants capsized off the coast of Libya on Saturday, rescue workers have said. Those confirmed to have died by the Libyan Red Crescent so far were all passengers in a boat carrying 26 Bangladeshi nationals. The humanitarian group did not say whether there were further fatalities among passengers in a second boat which sank while carrying around 70 mostly Sudanese people. Rwandan-backed M23 rebels and the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo have signed a framework for peace in the east of the country. The ceremony was held in Qatar, which along with the US and the African Union, has been trying to mediate an end to decades of conflict in the resource-rich region. Nine people have been killed and 32 injured after a stockpile of confiscated explosives accidentally blew up at a police station in Indian-administered Kashmir, police said. It comes just days after a car blast killed several people in Delhi, in what the government has called a “terror incident”. A Polish tourist drowned when she ventured into the Indian Ocean for swimming expedition in Diani, Kwale County. Police said Borucka Grazyna Janina was with fellow Polish tourists when she drowned on Friday November 14 evening. They had ventured out at the Diamond Leisure Resort beach of the ocean for swimming sessions when a huge wave hit her, witnesses said. Two suspected bandits were shot dead in a failed cattle rustling incident in Kokuro, Kibish, Turkana County. The incident happened in Welegech village where a group of Dassanech armed bandits numbering about 50 attacked the area with the intention of stealing livestock.
