Detectives are investigating an incident where two children were found dead in their house after suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in Kathonzweni, Makueni County. The carbon monoxide is suspected to have been emitted by a burning jiko that was found in their room in Bondeni village in Ituka Sub-location in the April 25 incident. A 27-year-old university student who climbed Mount Fuji outside of its official climbing season was rescued twice in four days, after he returned to look for his mobile phone. A businessman was robbed of Sh900,000 moments after he had withdrawn the same from a bank in Machakos Town. The businessman said he had been to KCB Machakos on April 25, 2025 and withdrew Sh1.5 million for his business in Kitengela. He then packed the money in two separate envelopes with one containing Sh900,000 and the second one Sh600,000. Detectives are looking for a gang of three that shot and injured a guard in a failed robbery in Komarock area, Nairobi. The guard was shot and wounded in the left thigh after he tried to inquire from the assailants who they were. The incident happened on Sunday morning. Namibia’s new president has announced that university fees will be scrapped from 2026. At least 22 passengers aboard a Kisii-bound bus were injured in an accident along the Bomet-Kisii highway at the Mumberes area of Sotik, Bomet County. The accident happened Sunday morning, police explained.
