    Two killed in bar fight in Busia

    Two revelers were killed in a fight in a bar in Nambale, Busia County.

    The incident happened on Christmas Day in the Nasira area and in Pumzika bar.

    A group of revelers were in the bar when a fight broke out.

    This left Evans Omulako, 28 and Fredrick Wanjala, 28 dead. The other revelers, who were about ten, escaped with injuries.

    Police said they are yet to establish what prompted the fight.

    The victims were rushed to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead while being attended to.

    The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy as police search for the assailants.

    Meanwhile, an attempt by a man to steal an electric pole turned tragic when it trapped him fatally in Kihunguro area, Ruiru, Kiambu County.

    The incident happened along the Thika Road where the victim had used a hacksaw to cut an electric pole with the intention of stealing it.

    Police said the pole fell on him and trapped his neck between another pole. He died on the spot and his body was found hanging there on Christmas Day morning.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an identification and autopsy, police said.

    Vandalism of electric poles and cables has been rampant in the area and it left many in darkness.

    In Kogonyi, Kisumu County, a 15-year-old boy was found dead after a party in the Kombedu area.

    Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the murder of the boy. He had stabs in back of the body, which was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    In Igoji, Meru County, a lifeless body of a juvenile was found lying in a thicket and naked.

    The victim was a 14-year-old girl and pupil at St Jude Primary School and was in grade eight.

    The body didn’t have visible injuries at the time it was found and moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

    In Kiritiri, Embu County, the body of a four-year-old girl was found in a thicket after murder.

    Police are investigating murder in the case. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
