The government Friday said it redeployed Kisii National Polytechnic Principal Tom Mulat, caving in to two days of relentless pressure from the local political leaders. A section of Kisii politicians have called out on Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba to transfer Kisii Polytechnic Principal Tom Mulat citing nepotism.  They further accused the administrator of graft and mismanagement. Two dormitories at Nyosia Mixed Secondary in Nyaribari Chache were razed following a fire incident at the school Saturday night.  At least 150 students had their personal affects gutted. There was no fatality, school authorities reported late Sunday. The cause of the inferno had not been established by Sunday afternoon even as investigations begun begun. Police in Kitengela, Kajiado County have arrested 58 aliens found hiding at a house in the town.  At least two suspects are in custody. A group of cultural elders from Kisii has revived calls for the repatriation of the skull belonging to Nyamatere Otenyo from London.  The skull is suspected to had been taken away by the British soldiers during a MauMau war expedition in Kisii region. The famed warrior had led a battalion of Gusii warriors in resisting British colonisation when he was killed. A college student answering a call of nature fell and died inside a pit latrine at Gekomu area in Kisii Friday night.  Authorities said the body of Celine Nyangweso, 24, a Kisii National Polytechnic student has since been retrieved by Kisii County disaster officials. It was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue. Nyangweso met her death at around 10 at night when she visited a pit latrine which collapsed while still was inside.
