Medics from Mombasa County have threatened to down their tools over non-payment of salaries from November last year. In details revealed to Kahawa Tungu, the medics stated that the strike will commence on January 11, 2021 at midnight. This, they said is after their demands were not met and the 7-day strike notice expired. Among the issues raised nonpayment of salaries from November last year. A Police Constable has shot himself dead in Makupa, Mombasa County, Coast Police Boss Manasseh Musyoka has confirmed. The officer, Constable Jacob Masha used a G3 rifle to shoot himself in his house on Sunday night although the motive for the incident is yet to be determined. Detectives are probing the death of a 26-year-old man who was found dead in a lodging in Mlolongo, Machakos County. The man, identified as Clinton Wanakacha was found unconscious in Mathiathia Guest House. Kenya Power has been ordered to pay Sh2 million to a minor who suffered permanent disability after he was electrocuted in Mbita. In a ruling by Justice Kiarie wa Kiarie, Kenya Power will pay the aforementioned amount to cater for future medical expenses as well as part of damages and for the pain he underwent. A defilement suspect who had escaped from custody last year in June has been re-arrested in Maragua, Murang’a County. 20-year-old Andrew Ngugi Wairimu alias Makali was ambushed at the border of Maragua town following a tip-off to detectives. The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has launched investigations into the accident that claimed nine lives along the Webuye-Eldoret road yesterday. The early morning accident on Sunday involved a 14-seater 2NK matatu which hit a stationary lorry at Musembe. 8 people died on the spot and several others were injured.
