A 33-year-old engineer based at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has succumbed to stab wounds allegedly inflicted by his girlfriend in Nairobi’s Umoja Estate. Edward Okello was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital on Sunday night. There was gun drama at Coral Bell Apartments in Thindigua, Kiambu County, after a man engaged police in a 2-hour shoot-out on Saturday night. The number of Coronavirus cases in the country rose to 672 on Sunday after 23 people tested positive. At the same time, 32 people have been discharged from hospital after recovering. At least 34 health care workers have tested positive for the novel coronavirus since it was first reported in the country in mid-March. This was revealed on Friday by Health Director-General Patrick Amoth during the daily Covid-19 briefings.
