Two pupils from Magire Primary School in Kericho County were on Wednesday arraigned in court for alleged murder of their colleague. The two are linked to the killing of Shadrack Rono, a Class 7 pupil in their school. The minors who were presented before Resident Magistrate Elizabeth Karani, did not take plea as police requested more time to dig into the incident. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has revealed that 1,228 teachers have been dismissed in the last seven years over sexual relationships with learners. Appearing before the Senate Education Committee on Wednesday, TSC chief executive Nancy Macharia disclosed that the commission dismissed a total of 1,077 teachers in secondary and primary schools between 2010 and 2017, while 151 teachers were kicked out recently. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is seeking approval to have all tax defaulters listed with the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
